Happy New Year from Park City, Utah!

I’m posting this blog from Park City, Utah.  I’ve never been to Park City during the holidays as my condo is generally booked.  For some reason this year, however, I had a few days available right after Christmas so I decided to take advantage of this opportunity and come to Park City.

It’s busy here, lot’s of people coming going and running around in general.  That said, the mountain is not that busy.  The lift lines are not that long and, at many chairs, it’s ski on with no lines whatsoever.

Is COLD!  The temperatures during the days have ranged between 5-15 degrees, settling into a balmy 1 degree at night.  Ugh!  These low temperatures, however, keep the snow very dry and freezes up the mountain in general almost assuring us a very long season.  What helps assure this even further is the amount of snow as we now have a base dept of 84 inches with a YTD todal snowfall of 188 inches.  That’s right over 15 feet!

Today it’s warming up to the 20′s so I’m off to have some fun!
