Everything Else in Alphabetical Order

Access / Parking

You have reserved parking on the left-hand side of the parking garage (as you drive down the parking ramp). A parking pass will be provided to you by David Grover / Club Lespri at check-in. There are only 18 parking spaces on this side of the garage and there are only 10 units in the building so there should be ample parking. If the lot is full and you find a commercial vehicle parked in this area, please report this to Diamond Parking. Also, Diamond Parking does police our lot fairly often so be sure that your parking pass is clearly visible or you may find your car towed away.

Bedding, Blankets & Towels

Additional pillows and blankets are available throughout the home.  There is a blow-up bed in the pine chest located in the main living area. There is a mattress cover for it and an electric pump to inflate it. There are additional towels supplied in each bathroom.

Cleaning/Linen Service

The house will be cleaned at the end of your stay.  If you run out of towels or need to clean an item, we have a washer/dryer in the closet off the kitchen.  If you feel you need additional linens or towels, or would like to have additional cleaning services, please contact our Condo Concierge. Additional cleaning fees will apply.

Fire Extinguishers

A fire extinguisher is located below the kitchen sink.

Fitness Area/Spa

You also have access to all the facilities of Club Lespri. They have a full gym, spa facilities and a very nice restaurant and bar. Club Lespri is located 5 minutes from our unit. You can drive or take a bus to the club as it is a bit too far to walk. They are located at:

1765 Sidewinder Drive

Park City, Utah 84060

435-645-9696

www.clublespri.com

Garbage

There is a large trash can in the kitchen and smaller trash containers in both bedrooms and bathrooms. There is a large dumpster on top of the park garage (Behind the Kimball Art Center) where you can place your trash bags as they become full. There are clean trash bags under the sink.

Getting Around Town

Getting around Park City is very easy with or without your own vehicle. If you are driving, especially if you are not used to driving in winter weather, just remember that you should “be a pro and drive slow,” after all you are on vacation.

Park City does an amazing job moving snow off the roads so you can make your way around town, to Canyons or Deer Valley ski areas, or you can even take a drive down to Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, Solitude or Sundance. All are within 30-40 minutes of your condo. Or, Park City Mountain is a 1 minute walk!!!

Park City Municipal Transit is free and can get you to all places Park City.  The bus stop is located on the street in front of the condo on Main and there is another bus stop behind the condo below the Town Chair Lift on Park Avenue.  The bus usually comes every 15 minutes.  There are several other bus stop locations within a few feet/blocks of the condo. The web link is www.parkcity.org/citydepartments/transporation

There is also a trolley that runs most all day & night up and down Main Street. Just flag them down and they will stop for you if possible. There are also signs marking the formal trolley stops as well.

Walking is your most reliable transportation system and, to me, the most enjoyable way to get around town. You can walk to scores of restaurants, bars, clubs, shopping, and ski shops all located on Main Street.

Getting To Park City and 693 Main Street

From the Salt Lake Airport, Park City is a mere 30-40 minute drive. Here’s the Driving Directions:

• From the Airport follow signs to I-80 East (toward Cheyenne)

• Stay on I-80 East all the way to Park City (About 30 miles)

• Exit I-80 at the Kimball Junction/Park City exit

• Turn right from the exit onto Hwy 224

• Take Hwy 224 about 5 miles just past the Park City Welcome Sign plaza

• At the stop sign go straight, which puts you on Park Avenue

• Drive past the Park City Library (right-hand side)

• Drive under the Town Lift Chair (fun!)

• Turn left on 7th Avenue and make an immediate right down the ramp into our parking garage

• Turn left when you enter the garage and park on this side. (spaces are reserved for Town Lift owners and guests, but they are not assigned so park in any available space)

• From the garage you will see the entrance to the building. A luggage cart will be in the foyer for your convenience.

Grocery Stores

Complete Grocery:

Guest Book

Before you depart, please sign our guest book.  It is a brown leather bound journal located in the living room on the table behind the sofa.  We’d love to hear about your stay!

Heat

Our little Flat is sandwiched between two floors. As such, keeping it warm and toasty is never an issue. In fact, you may find that you never turn the furnace on as you can quickly heat up the place in the morning with the fireplace. At night your down blankets will do the trick. That said, we want you to be comfortable so the thermostat is conveniently located on the wall in the living room and it is super easy to use.

Please turn down the heat to 60 degrees when you are away from the unit for an extended period of time.   Please turn the heat to 55 degrees when your stay has ended.

Hot Tub

Our condo has an indoor jetted tub in each master bathroom. Relax, light some candles and enjoy. Remember, if you want a message to contact Club Lespri as you are provided with a free temporary membership while staying in our condo.

Kitchen

The kitchen is fully equipped with high-end appliances.   We have really tried to give you EVERYTHING you could need from a potato peeler to both red and white wine glasses. There is a crock pot, a cappuccino machine, a blender, pots, pans, roasting pans. Seriously, if you can think of it, it’s probably there. If it’s not, please let us know because we may want to purchase it before your next visit. Again, we want you think of our condo as your home while you are in Park City and having a well equipped kitchen is very important to us.

At the end of your stay, please run the dishwasher with any remaining dirty dishes before you check outThe kitchen must be left reasonably clean or additional cleaning charges will be assessed.

Local’s Insider Tips & Information:

· The Park City Library has a local’s movie night, generally running Thursday – Saturday. These are mostly high-end Hollywood films that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. We NEVER miss these as they are fun and very inexpensive. They serve real melted butter popcorn for a buck! The library is a 5 minute walk from your condo. Check it out at www.ParkCityFilmSeries.com

· Buy a copy of “The Park Record” as soon as you can. It is the local newspaper and will provide you with up-t0-date activities and coupons for discounts on food, etc. You can find the Record at the Alpine Internet Café which is located in the back of the Kimball Art Center on Park and Heber Avenues.  www.parkrecord.com

www.Liftopia.com

This is one of the best places to buy discounted lift tickets for all the ski areas in Utah.  The key with his site it to BUY EARLY.  The site operates like an airline selling discounted seats on a plane.  Once the seats are gone, they are gone.  Liftopia’s lift tickets work the same way, moreover, the biggest discounts are booked well in advance.  The only downside is that you must pick your dates.  So, use it, or lose it.  That said, this is a great way to get a good discount on your lift tickets.

Utah Liquor Laws

Getting a drink in Utah isn’t as difficult as what you might have heard. Park City makes it even easier with more alcoholic beverage businesses per capita than any other place in the state. So whether you’re looking for a local brew or just a glass of wine, you won’t be left high and dry.  Below is some specific information about getting a drink during your vacation.

Beer
You can purchase 3.2% beer at the grocery and convenience stores. 3.2% beer is also served in restaurants that only have beer licenses. Full-strength beer is for sale at state liquor stores (see addresses below) and is sold in private clubs and restaurants with liquor licenses.
Wine
Wine is served in restaurants and private clubs and can be purchased at the state liquor stores.
Liquor
You can buy liquor at state liquor stores and purchase it by the drink in most restaurants (if you order food) and all private clubs (without ordering food).
State Liquor Store – Locations in Park City
Remember: Liquor stores are closed on Sundays, state & federal holidays.
Regular Business Hours are as follows:
10 a.m.-10 p.m. (Dec-April) 11 a.m.-8 p.m. May-Nov)

· Nearest Silver Star – 550 Snow Creek Drive, Park City – (435) 615-8538

· Near Main Street – 460 Swede Alley, Park City – 435-649-3293

· Kimball Plaza at Kimball Junction 435-658-0890

Brown Bagging/Unfinished Wine
Subject to the discretion of the establishment, patrons may pay a corkage fee allowing them to bring in their own bottled wine to licensed restaurants and private clubs for on premise consumption. Patrons may carry out unfinished wine from a restaurant or private club provided that the bottle has been re-corked.

Basic Utah Liquor Licenses
Full liquor service is available in licensed restaurants, banquet and catering facilities, airport lounges, and private clubs. Patrons may order liquor by the drink, wine by the glass or bottle, and beer in bottles, cans and on draft. Packaged liquor, wine, and heavy beer (over 3.2%) are available in State Liquor Stores.
In restaurants with full service liquor licenses, liquor, wine and heavy beer (over 3.2%) may be served from noon to midnight. Beer (3.2%) is available from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Patrons must be dining in the restaurant in order to be served an alcoholic beverage. Patrons may be served at their table or in a waiting area.
In restaurants with limited service liquor licenses, wine, and heavy beer (over 3.2%) may be served from noon to midnight. Beer (3.2%) is available from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Limited restaurant licenses may not sell distilled spirits.

Mountain Conditions

The home page for the computer in your office takes you to www.ParkCityMountain.com There you will find everything you need to know and you DO need to know the weather as the conditions in the town are generally much nicer than they are at the top of the mountain.

I like to check their web cams to see what things look like. I also check the weather stations that are located all over the mountain. They will provide you with both the temperature and the wind conditions so you can dress accordingly.

I also check www.Weather.com as they provide you with an hour-by-hour weather report which is amazingly accurate.

Finally, if you ski Park City Mountain the convenience of our condo’s location is hard to beat. If you find yourself too hot, or cold or tired or hungry, just ski down or you can even ride the Town Lift Chair home. The point is your home is always close by.

Restaurants

Honestly, we eat in 90% of the time. We bring our food up on the mountain or when we go on hikes or bike rides. That said, Park City has a huge number of amazing restaurants in a wide variety of price ranges. As a rule of thumb, EVERYTHING on Main Street is 25% more expensive. That said, everything on Main Street is within 10 minutes walking distance.

Road Conditions

If you are driving home or to the airport, or even if you have arranged for public transportation it is a VERY good idea to keep an eye on road conditions. The Utah Department of Transportation has a super system to help you as they have web cams available over the internet covering the entire State. It’s quite amazing actually. Here is the link www.utahcommuterlink.com

Ski Equipment

All skis, poles and snowboards MUST be left in the ski storage lockers outside your condo. We appreciate your leaving ski boots in the lockers as well, and use après ski footwear to walk to and from the condo. Please do not walk in the house with your ski boots on. For your convenience, there are overnight ski lockers located down the hall. You should be provided with a key upon your arrival. The lockers are large, however, if you need more space you can request additional lockers.

There are several storage locations around town that also provide convenient lockers and overnight storage of ski and snowboard equipment, a useful resource if you plan on skiing the same locale consecutive days.

Resort Center – PCMR
A ski locker, storage and boot change area is available on the main plaza level next to Silver Star Ski and Sport.  Equipment storage is available at Legacy Rental (next to Legacy Lodge).  Overnight storage $5.00 for non-rented skis.

Deer Valley Resort (Skiers only, no snowboarding)

Curbside Guest Service Attendants will assist with equipment unloading and loading upon your arrival and departure to and from Snow Park Lodge.

Complimentary Ski Storage

Complimentary daytime and overnight ski storage facilities are open daily at Snow Park Lodge (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.), Silver Lake Lodge (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and at the Jordanelle Express Gondola (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Daytime storage is also available at Empire Canyon Lodge (9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.).

Accessory/Gear Storage

For a nominal fee, our Basket Check facility allows you to store accessories and gear with unlimited access throughout the day. Basket Check facilities are located on the lower level of Snow Park Lodge (8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Silver Lake Lodge (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Self-service lockers are also located on the lower level of Snow Park Lodge, lower level of Silver Lake Lodge, main level of Empire Canyon Lodge and at the Jordanelle Express Gondola.

The Canyons Resort
Equipment storage located across from Ski School on Gondola Level of resort.  $5 overnight storage, for an extra $5 they will wax and condition equipment.

Destination Sports
Storage located at Town Lift Plaza, adjacent to The Town Lift. Overnight equipment storage is $4/night. They are conveniently located if you take PCMR’s Home Run trail to Town Lift Bridge. Then you drop equipment off and walk home hands free! Frankly, it’s only 65 feet from the bottom of the lift to our condo. That said, some people don’t want to carry their equipment 3 feet after a long day of skiing.  Just saying…….

Washer & Dryer

These are located in the closet just off the kitchen.  Please use the HE (high efficiency) detergent we have provided for you.  The washer runs its cleaning cycle fairly quickly. The dryer, however, will take time. The secret is to clean the dust from the dust filter every time you use the dryer. This makes a BIG difference.

You may also find that leaving wet mittens, gloves, etc. by the fireplace is a good idea for those types of items. The air is very dry in the Mountains in the winter and anything left out will dry out very quickly.

You will also find an iron, ironing board, brooms, a vacuum cleaner, humidifiers and dustpan should you need them during your stay.

I believe that this will cover about everything you can think of and more. Thank you so much for selecting our little Park City Flat and we hope you enjoy your stay!
